The Glenshesk

The Glenshesk River runs through the picturesque Glenshesk valley and forms one of the nine Glens of Antrim. As beautiful a Glen as will be seen anywhere. The Glenshesk is a spate river and any fish in the river will quickly take cover as spates run off. There are some excellent salmon caught every year and a good bit of the river has been developed by Ballycastle Angling Club, with the support of DCAL, and Northern Ireland Rivers Agnecy  to provide holding water for salmon and sea trout. The Glenshesk river will always have the potential to surprise any angler and is always worth the walk. The Glenshesk river is about 10 Km long.
